What if you could have genetic perfection?

Watching Hell on Wheels is just making me want a western/western steampunk game. And keeps making me come up with scenarios of what my current charries would be like in a setup like that. Every now and then I’ll get a little obsessed with a specific setting and come up and all these little stories/situations about how things could be that flit through my head way quicker than I’d ever be able to get them out. And rofl, without fail, I almost always come up with something that involves the complete bomb group in its entirety. These are the kinds of things that occupy my brain and keep me from getting actual rp stuff I need to do done. Also, the break has completely screwed up my sleep schedule and I’ve gotten a minimal amount for the past two nights. I’m trying to make myself hold off on comment spam until I know my brain is on a setting other than zombie and I won’t be just smashing my fingers against a keyboard so I can hit post. So considering that- this really may all be absolute drivel.

Two concepts for redwagon that I need to figure out/flesh out/plot with people and actually do apps for. Also, I am too lazy to do a nice pretty chart or a doc for them, so yeah. Comment here? The first is a snake charmer for the sideshow, pb Megan Fox. And the second is a hippopotamus shifter for the exotic animals act, pb Kat Dennings. I had been toying with the idea of using a young Melanie Lynsky for the shifter so I could have her be younger and possibly open up an entirely different set of dynamics than what I’ll probably have with the snake charmer, but I am really liking KD, so we'll see how wishy washy I get. Also, you guys can so blame Kat for putting the hippo idea into my head. Also, there is apparently a story that may or may not be urban legend about a circus dwarf accidentally getting eaten by a yawning hippo when he bounced off a trampoline in the wrong direction and landed right into its mouth. You guys, this shit is writing itself. I can’t even.

Also, they are redoing CLUE as a tween miniseries. No me gusta, universe. NO ME GUSTA

Now I’m remembering why I hated having AT&T the first time around. They can’t get anyone out to me until Saturday, but hopefully after then things will finally be setup and there there will be increased internetness from met at home. Once that happens I am so planning on random activities- plotting, maybe doing an app or two, and I want to try and get a log or scene in progress for each of my evo charries. So if there’s anyone you want, let me know and we can start figuring out what to do.

I’m not sure if it’s my lack of sleep or what but I am actually considering trying to put together a Marvel/HP crossover game.

Fellow HP crazies- anyone have a good recipe for Butterbeer, preferably alcoholic? I'm planning things for my friend's pre wedding party (because she didn't want to do the bachelorette party thing), and it's HP themed. I've already ordered molds for chocolate frogs, and I've found a few recipes for HP treats I'm gonna try out, so hopefully I'll be making fever fudge, puking pastilles and fainting fancies too. But I kind of already promised butterbeer too and I've found tons of good nonalcoholic recipes but only a few alcoholic.

Next weekend my pyrate crew is hitting a local con and I'm part of a panel on costuming on a budget. A friend of mine even has a wooden, period passable crutch I can use instead of a normal one. New level of geekdom- achieved.

Does anyone know if there's an ij login thingy that works with chrome? My home net connection has been extra sketch lately to the point of me not even being able to get much more than a few comment spams past it before it spazzes on me. But last night I randomly switched from firefox to chrome and it was smooth sailing, so it's possible the problem was something with firefox and maybe not my connection? Or maybe the thing is just fucking with me and going to go into 'lol no i still suck' mode this weekend right when I need it not to. I've sort of been meaning to try out chrome anyway, but I need lj login like Charlie Sheen needs hookers....

I am seriously kind of riddled with so many grumpy thoughts and contemplations on gaming/modding/organization/ rp in general/my goddam failocalypse of a life right now it is not even funny, you guys. I sort of keep slipping in and out of a getting nothing at all done ‘Fuck all rp forevar' mode, but I think it’s just rl things seeping into online bizniz. Work is stressing me out with us having to pack and move the entire lab and the continuous state of it being sort of suck and me generally wanting an overall better job but not having anything on the horizon. I’m not going to be taking any classes this semester like I was hoping. And while that frees more time up for me for things like rp and a second job, it’s fantastically depressing because I got into the program I was wanting to do, work would probably pay for my classes almost completely, but I can’t actually TAKE them since they are only offered during the same hours I am at work. Bah.

Next weekend is the Orpheum’s annual showing of Rocky Horror, the 2nd annual Pyratefest here, and then a holiday that I actually have off since hey, there ARE some advantages to working for the state. I plan on disappearing into a pool of rum and other theme appropriate alcohol if I am still feeling shittastic by then. Edit- ok, so I was thinking Labor Day weekend is next weekend and not the weekend after. Hahah I don't even know what day it is. Nice

Also, I cannot find my soundtrack for Nine anywhere on my computer. I know I have it because there is a burned copy of the CD in my car. Merph.

It really makes me want to try and do Harold again, though. Maybe 3rd time's the charm and all and I'd actually get to play him long enough to fully develop him like I wanted to.

You guys, wtf is going on with lj? I haven't been able to get on in like, two days.

So apparently my messaging program has been screwing with me. My net connection at home has a tendency to go in and out sometimes, so that’s always fantastic. But last night I found out that pidgin sometimes just hasn’t been sending me ims, as they were coming through on my phone but not on my computer. And of course, if I’m at home I’m usually logged in on my computer and not my phone. So if I’ve been all no respondy in ims to anyone, it’s likely I just wasn’t getting them. I promise I’m not that much of a lurky douchebag. Ack.

Also, if anyone does see me online past around midnight or so, please tell me to gtfo and go to bed. I’ve been having to go into work earlier to make sure I get a parking spot (because I sort of refuse to pay to park at the place that employs me), and I am just not a morning person at all either. Which puts me needing to hit the hay right at what seems to be prime time for comment spamming and tagging a lot of days. Since I have no willpower half the time I end up staying up anyway, and that just puts me in a zombie state in the morning and then I’m tired all day and really not useful for much, rpwise or irl, and then I sludge through the day and stay up late again and it all is this horrible cycle that turns me into a constant cranky cast member of The Walking Dead. And I don’t wanna be that guy. Nobody likes that guy.

I would so work 2nd shift for the rest of my life if those hours did not result in me having no social life whatsoever.

Don’t worry, I’m not dropping anyone. Everyone else has been doing some character analysis and I’ve been meaning to do that for a while, so I figured now was a good time. And all of mine are newish since my older charries went in the purge a while back. Comments, plot requests, and general opinions/assessments are sooo welcome, because I like knowing what other people think of my characters and what I’m getting right and what makes me look like a buffoon. Also, I need to make a list of things to get done with specific people’s characters before they get written out.
