Also, sorry I've been a bit scarce. I've been consumed by the sudden need to make shit and have been madly cutting out patterns, planning costume pieces, and realizing I have less than a month to get Mother's Day things done. Omg. I seriously need to make a rule that I can't start on new things until I finish the old ones because at this point I have a steampunk jacket and vest, a purse, and a tshirt quilt all in progress and am all XD about four or five new things I've decided I need to start on.

I have been working my way through a block of Lost Girl episodes on my dvr and now I am having an extremely strong urge to fully flesh out the maternal side of Megan's family tree. Partially so I can make it my own personal canon that she has things like land wights as relatives.

Also, I'll be heading to my mom's this weekend and last I heard their router wasn't working. With my mom's level of techno fail, this could very well mean I just need to switch a few cords around and/or plug the router back in again and everything will be ok. It's also possible the whole shebang isn't actually working and I'll end up offline for the whole weekend. Just fyi.

And my aunts are threatening to put the grandkids in charge of Easter dinner and make us do it potluck style. Um, no me gusta. Two of my aunts are caterers, and another one is one of those southern 'you need to eat, baby' types who always cooks a ton of stuff every sunday. And I know my mom will be cooking. Why the hell would I want to eat my own crappy cooking when I can let the pros do it?

I’ll be around between now and Monday, but definitely scarce and slow to respond to stuff. There’s stuff going on irl that kind of makes me want to crawl into a wine bottle and never come back out again. Or at least not come out for a while. La Cage is running at the Orpheum this week, so I’m helping with that, I'm seeing a midnight showing of Hunger Games Friday (sry all you Gale ppl, I'm team Peeta!), and Midsouthcon is this weekend. As cons go it’s still a small one, but it’s the biggest one in the area and my sister is coming down for it so I've been looking forward to it for a while. I get to spend the weekend geeking out with her, being a pirate, Zoe from Firefly, and possibly a random steampunk person. And omg I have costumes and shit to finish still too. I am seriously about ready to say ‘fuck it’ and just wear a t shirt for one day. I found this one the other day at Wal Mart of all places, and it’s pretty much begging to be worn asap.

Stayed up until like 6am finishing the first Hunger Games book. Jamie, whether or not this is actually your fault, I'm blaming it on you. :-p And omg, I love Rue sfm.

Maybe this will kick my ass into a little more productivity since I've gotten sudden inspiration for new holds and new charries.

So do any of you guys know anything about Battletech? The table top version?

Figuring out possible new charries for Evo, I keep coming back to the idea of drag queen performer of some kind. I think that's one of the areas of the gay spectrum we've possibly never? had in game, and I know there is a high probability of me screwing it up, over and sideways. But the concept is enough that I'm not sure I can resist. However, I need a pb with suitable icons because I am too damn lazy to make my own. And really, how inspired I get with this might depend on how good of icons I can find. So if anyone has suggestions, please throw them my way! I've already discovered that both Lee Pace and Cillian Murphy make good drag queens, but I want to see what else I can find too.

Watching Hell on Wheels is just making me want a western/western steampunk game. And keeps making me come up with scenarios of what my current charries would be like in a setup like that. Every now and then I’ll get a little obsessed with a specific setting and come up and all these little stories/situations about how things could be that flit through my head way quicker than I’d ever be able to get them out. And rofl, without fail, I almost always come up with something that involves the complete bomb group in its entirety. These are the kinds of things that occupy my brain and keep me from getting actual rp stuff I need to do done. Also, the break has completely screwed up my sleep schedule and I’ve gotten a minimal amount for the past two nights. I’m trying to make myself hold off on comment spam until I know my brain is on a setting other than zombie and I won’t be just smashing my fingers against a keyboard so I can hit post. So considering that- this really may all be absolute drivel.

Two concepts for redwagon that I need to figure out/flesh out/plot with people and actually do apps for. Also, I am too lazy to do a nice pretty chart or a doc for them, so yeah. Comment here? The first is a snake charmer for the sideshow, pb Megan Fox. And the second is a hippopotamus shifter for the exotic animals act, pb Kat Dennings. I had been toying with the idea of using a young Melanie Lynsky for the shifter so I could have her be younger and possibly open up an entirely different set of dynamics than what I’ll probably have with the snake charmer, but I am really liking KD, so we'll see how wishy washy I get. Also, you guys can so blame Kat for putting the hippo idea into my head. Also, there is apparently a story that may or may not be urban legend about a circus dwarf accidentally getting eaten by a yawning hippo when he bounced off a trampoline in the wrong direction and landed right into its mouth. You guys, this shit is writing itself. I can’t even.

Also, they are redoing CLUE as a tween miniseries. No me gusta, universe. NO ME GUSTA
